In our recent study, we explored the improvement of XSEED\u2019s speed calculation by employing two different settings: a controlled environment that mimics actual football actions and real-world match conditions. Our research strives to refine GPS speed measurements using XSEED compared to traditional GPS vests, aiming to minimize discrepancies and bolster reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-custom-color-1-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-custom-color-1-background-color has-background\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>The importance of Speed Accuracy Calculation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.7\">Understanding exact speed is vital for athletes, especially football players. It directly influences training regimens and match strategies. Accurate speed measurement is crucial because it forms the foundation for developing other critical metrics such as acceleration, deceleration, and overall player dynamics. This ensures that players and coaches can analyze true performance levels and adjust techniques accordingly. Conversely, inaccurate speed data can lead to flawed tactical decisions and inefficient training, undermining player development and team performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-custom-color-1-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-custom-color-1-background-color has-background\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Simplified Problem Description<\/strong> <strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.7\">We embarked on a comparative study between XSEED smart shinguards and a GPS vest considered the industry\u2019s gold standard. Our smart shinguards, equipped with GNSS sensors operating at a 10 Hz frequency, were put to the test against the GPS vest\u2019s 18 Hz frequency. These strategies yielded significant improvements, comparing XSEED speed signal with the one of the GPS vest:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The global Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) was reduced from 2.24 km\/h to a mere 1.54 km\/h.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\">The predictability of GPS data, as measured by the Coefficient of Determination (R\u00b2), increased from 0.71 to 0.87.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These metrics underscore a substantial enhancement in the accuracy and reliability of GPS data, which is crucial for real-time performance analytics in sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-custom-color-1-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-custom-color-1-background-color has-background\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Discussion: Enhanced Monitoring and Future Directions<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.7\">The refined data accuracy offers improved reliability in monitoring player movements and speed, which are critical for crafting targeted training programs and mitigating injury risks. This advancement demonstrates the potential of sophisticated data processing techniques in elevating the precision of GPS devices used in sports. In questo recente studio, abbiamo approfondito i miglioramenti sul calcolo della velocit\u00e0 di XSEED utilizzando due ambienti di raccolta dati diversi. Il primo era controllato ed imitava le azioni reali del calcio, mentre il secondo erano condizioni di partita e allenamento reali. Questa infatti, influenza direttamente gli allenamenti e le strategie di gioco. Una misurazione accurata della velocit\u00e0 \u00e8 fondamentale perch\u00e9 costituisce la base per lo sviluppo di altri parametri come accelerazione, decelerazione e dinamiche complessive del giocatore. Questo garantisce che giocatori e allenatori possano analizzare i livelli di prestazione reali e adattare i programmi di allenamento di conseguenza. Queste strategie hanno portato miglioramenti significativi, confrontando il segnale di velocit\u00e0 di XSEED con quello della pettorina GPS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"line-height:1.7\">L&#8217;Errore Quadratico Medio Globale (RMSE) \u00e8 stato ridotto da 2,24 km\/h a soli 1,54 km\/h.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>La prevedibilit\u00e0 dei dati GPS, misurata dal Coefficiente di Determinazione (R\u00b2), \u00e8 aumentata da 0,71 a 0,87.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Queste metriche sottolineano un miglioramento sostanziale nell&#8217;accuratezza e nell&#8217;affidabilit\u00e0 dei dati GPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-custom-color-1-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-custom-color-1-background-color has-background\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Discussione: Monitoraggio avanzato e sviluppi futuri <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"line-height:1.7\">L&#8217;accuratezza dei dati ottenuta offre una maggiore affidabilit\u00e0 nel monitoraggio dei movimenti e della velocit\u00e0 dei giocatori, aspetti essenziali per la programmazione degli allenamenti mirati e per la riduzione dei rischi di infortuni. Questo avanzamento dimostra il potenziale delle tecniche di elaborazione dei dati nell&#8217;aumentare la precisione dei dispositivi GPS utilizzati nello sport.
