Soccerment powers Fabrizio Romano's Ballon d'Or 2026 analysis
Two data stories on the 70th Ballon d'Or, built with xValue and SICS Atlas, reached 10.2 million views on Instagram and ran on X and LinkedIn.

For the 70th Ballon d'Or, Soccerment teamed up with Fabrizio Romano on two data stories, published as Instagram collaboration posts with Here We Go and shared by Fabrizio on X and LinkedIn.
On 26 October, "The Ballon d'Or snubs" looked at the three biggest omissions from the shortlist, Désiré Doué, Raphinha and Enzo Fernández, through xValue, Soccerment's new event-value metric. The post reached 7.0 million views on Instagram.
On 27 October, after the ceremony, the second story went through the season of the winner, Harry Kane, with SICS Atlas data: 73 goals in 65 matches and the best finishing in Europe. It reached 3.2 million views on Instagram.

On X, Fabrizio's post on Kane passed 1.8 million views, with three numbers from our analysis: 73 goals, the second best season of the century behind only Messi; +14 goals added by the quality of his finishing alone, 1st in Europe; 36 Bundesliga goals, 17 more than anyone else. A follow-up video showed SICS Atlas and linked to the full report.
On LinkedIn, he went deeper, after working through Kane's season with the analysts at Soccerment: the volume of his goals, the quality of his finishing, the profile of a complete forward who drops deep, creates and presses, and the nuances the data reveals, such as an aerial threat who still receives 89% of his balls to feet. He closed with why this matters:
"It doesn't replace the eye. It sharpens it. For clubs and scouts, that is the difference between buying a number and understanding a player." Fabrizio Romano, on LinkedIn
Together, the two Instagram posts reached 10.2 million views and brought around 11,000 visitors to soccerment.com, most of them football fans from well beyond our usual community.
For Soccerment, the collaboration put two things in front of millions of fans: xValue, the metric that values every action on the ball in attack and defence, and SICS Atlas, the AI-native platform the analysis was built on, where the same player report is available for every player.
Both analyses are now available in full on our blog, with the complete reports free to download: The Ballon d'Or 2026 snubs and Harry Kane, Ballon d'Or 2026 winner.
